The former Hubstetten farm near Buch am Erlbach is located in the middle of a green island in the rape seed. The rape seed is mainly used to produce rape oil, which can be used as cooking oil and also as biofuel. Less well known is the great importance of rape flowers for beekeeping. During the flowering period they are the most productive nectar source for honey bees. One hectare of rape can yield up to 500 kg of pure honey.
